Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information ChillAI ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ChillAI, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (if you sign up with email), or basic profile details (name, email, profile picture) if you sign in with Google, GitHub, or Facebook.

Conversation content: the messages, prompts, and generated images/videos you create are stored in your account so your conversation history is available across sessions, until you delete them.

Usage data: daily message/image/video counts (to enforce plan limits), theme preference, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled entirely by PayPal (our payment processor). We do not receive or store your card details — only your subscription status and plan.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve ChillAI
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • To enforce plan limits and process subscription payments
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Third-party services we use

To provide chat, image, and video generation, your prompts are sent to the AI provider(s) currently powering that feature, which may include Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Hugging Face, Replicate, and Pollinations.ai. Each processes your prompt only to generate a response and is bound by its own privacy terms. We also use PayPal for payment processing, and Google/GitHub/Facebook for optional sign-in.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and conversation data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual conversations at any time, or permanently delete your entire account (and all associated data) from Settings → Danger Zone — this immediately and permanently removes your data from our systems.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at the email below.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
